Jackson Conway was a 14-year-old whose unwavering faith in Christ inspired everyone who knew him. After a courageous four-year battle with Ewing Sarcoma, Jackson went home to be with Jesus on March 8, 2021 at the age of 17. Before he passed, Jackson shared a powerful wish—that a 120-foot cross be built along Interstate 65 so that all who pass by would be reminded there is hope in Christ, no matter the circumstance.
Nearly five years later, that wish is becoming a reality. Join us as we celebrate Jackson’s life, his testimony, and the first-ever lighting of the cross.

The Jackson Conway Foundation is honored to partner with Rozier Construction Company, who is currently constructing Jackson’s Cross — a 120-foot cross that will stand as a powerful symbol of faith, hope, and remembrance. Upon completion, this cross will become the 30th cross of this scale built by Rozier Construction across the Southeastern United States.
The cross is actively under construction and will be erected in March, with its lighting taking place for the very first time during the special dedication event on March 7. This moment will mark not only the completion of the structure, but the beginning of its purpose as a lasting beacon for all who see it.
Founded in 1976 in Greenwood, Mississippi, Rozier Construction brings nearly five decades of experience in commercial construction throughout the Southeast. Known for their integrity, craftsmanship, and commitment to excellence, Rozier Construction has earned the trust of communities across the region through projects that are built to last.
As construction of Jackson’s Cross continues, Rozier Construction is applying detailed planning, proven engineering practices, and skilled project management to ensure the cross is constructed with strength, precision, and reverence. Their work reflects not only technical expertise, but a deep respect for the significance of what is being built.
The Jackson Conway Foundation is deeply grateful for Rozier Construction’s dedication to this project and their role in helping bring this vision to life. Together, we look forward to the moment in March when Jackson’s Cross is raised — and to March 7, when it will shine for the very first time.
